Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Fisher, Barbara “Barb” J. of Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Country Square AFC Home. She was 88 years old. Barbara Jean Vancelette was born September 4, 1933 in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Roy and Rita (Oliver) Vancelette. She married Earl W. Fisher on September 26, 1952. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2019. Barb’s passion was spending time in her flower gardens. Her green thumb has been passed onto her daughters, as well as her love of the beach. Barb enjoyed playing bingo, but she was delighted when she spent time with her grandchildren. Grandma Barb’s snickerdoodle cookies were always a special treat. She spent many hours knitting special blankets and keepsakes for each new family member as they were born. Barb’s devotion to her family could be seen through the many photos and memory books she would create over the years. Barb and Earl together spent many years raising Golden Retriever puppies, and would encourage their grandchildren to take one home.

Surviving are her children, Sandra (Dominic Glasgow) Young, Susan Garlick, Earl (Sandy) Fisher Jr., Nancy (Frank) Kalebich; grandchildren, Robert (Barbara Maresca) Young, Kristopher (Lindsay) Young, Nicholas (fiancée, Tessa Walsh) Young, Michael (Dina) Young, Kaylee (Branden) Ramirez, Lindsay Garlick, Stephen Guldenzoph, Dana (Seth) Scott, Jordan (Nathan) Strayhorn, Kyle (Tiffany) Kalebich, Courtney Kalebich and Cole Kalebich; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Margot Young, Wilder and Josephine Strayhorn, J Scott and Leona Scott, Elliot, Hudson and Vivian Kalebich and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Fisher; daughter, Joan Fisher-Guldenzoph; and her sister, Joan Pingeton.
