Pawlak, Patricia “Pat”

Bay City, Michigan

Our beloved mother, sister and dear friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at New Hope Bay. She was 96 years old. Patricia Francis Lijewski was born on May 12, 1925 to the late Frank and Zelda (Hebert) Lijewski. Patricia attended St. James High School and then graduated from Central High School in Bay City, MI. She married Walter “Flash” A. Pawlak on November 12, 1949 in Bay City. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2005. Pat loved to knit, and owned a yarn shop within her home. She was also a skilled seamstress, and loved to paint. She and Flash loved to travel, and visited many parts of the US and Europe with the “Senior Tours”.  

Patricia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Darla Pawlak; sister, Clara “Kelly” Madden; nephews: Brad (Marilyn) Primeau John (Jane) Primeau, Tom (Pat) Barbeau and all of the Barbeau siblings and sister-in-law Dolores (Pawlak) Beetham and other special nieces and nephews. And dear cousin “Kiki”.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband. 

SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 13, 2021 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 614 Pine St, Essexville, MI 48732. Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church.
