LEACH, RuthAnn (Pfannes) of Saginaw Twp. and formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 30, 1942, in Bay County to the late Oscar and Esther (Kolb) Pfannes. She married Carl E. Leach on December 29, 1973. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1998. RuthAnn was an employee of Saginaw General Hospital as a Monitor Tech and then retired from Covenant HealthCare as a CNA in 2007. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was active with their Quilting Committee. RuthAnn enjoyed camping in the summer with her best friends, Barb and David Doan. They would gather with the gang and enjoy each other's company. There were also monthly card clubs, bus trips and plays that filled her life with great memories. She loved to knit, bead, make crafts, sew Memory Bears, and stay busy watching her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. RuthAnn is survived by her children and their spouses: Jennifer (Jeff) Rauschert and Kevin (Carrie) Leach. She will be forever remembered as "Nana" by her loving grandchildren: Ethan and Carter Rauschert, Spencer, Preston and Emma Leach. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Hall; her brother, Kenneth (Dorothy) Pfannes and many extended family and friends. FUNERAL: A funeral service to celebrate RuthAnn's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road, Saginaw. Rev. Leroy R. Westphal and Vicar Jacob Hummel will co-officiate. The burial will take place privately in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Beaver Township. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Monday, February 7, 2011, from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). RuthAnn will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
